Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Graebel in 2021 and Beyond
As a global company focused on people-first mobility, diversity and inclusion isn’t just something we strive for. It’s something that’s crucial to have in order to succeed when working with each other, clients, mobile employees and supplier partners around the world. In fact, studies have shown diverse and inclusive environments produce more creative, innovative and engaged workforces, making for happier employees.
In 2019, I shared how we began our journey for a more inclusive workplace. In 2020, in the midst of a pandemic and the peak of calls for racial justice, we continued our efforts expanding our DEI Council and leading educational workshop for the leadership team. In 2021, we’re looking forward to building on our work to-date, to foster diversity, equity and inclusion in our organization. Our work in 2021 is guided by our DEI mission, vision and focus areas.
2021 DEI Mission, Vision and Focus Areas
- Mission: Create an industry-leading, people-first mobility culture that provides empathetic and exceptional experiences for all employees, clients and mobile employees and supplier partners by building and sustaining a diverse workforce, achieving inclusive excellence, honoring individual uniqueness and providing equitable access and opportunities.
- Vision: A visibly and invisibly diverse workplace that encourages and values inclusive participation and perspectives; removes barriers to growth, advancement and opportunity; eliminates the predictability of success based on social and cultural factors; and better demonstrates our duty of care through our values of truth, love and integrity.
- Focus Areas:
- Attracting and retaining diverse talent
- Education and awareness
- Growing allyship and increasing advocacy
Our ultimate goal is to create an even stronger culture of inclusion where all Graebel employees feel valued and supported. By eliminating the predictability of access and success based on any one factor – such as race, gender, age, etc. – we aim to show our commitment to building, sustaining and leveraging a diverse, inclusive and equitable workplace. We believe that by extension, then, those we work with — clients, mobile employees and supplier partners — will also feel the impacts of our inclusive culture. After all, our values are truth, love and integrity, so we are called to listen, learn from and lean into our differences.
